Privacy Policy

1. Name and contact details of the controller

This privacy policy applies to data processing by:

2. General information on data processing on this website

We process personal data of visitors to our website only to the extent necessary to provide a functioning website and our content, or where you have given your consent. The legal bases are the GDPR, the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG).

We do not use any analytics, tracking or advertising tools on this website, do not embed social media plugins and do not provide a contact form. The only third-party service that may process personal data is the Google Maps map on our contact page – and it is only loaded with your consent (see section 6).

3. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. When you access our website www.holz-abresch.de, the browser used on your device automatically sends information to the server of our hosting provider. This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file. The following information is recorded without any action on your part and stored until it is automatically deleted:

  • IP address of the requesting computer,
  • date and time of access,
  • name and URL of the file accessed and the amount of data transferred,
  • website from which access is made (referrer URL),
  • browser used and, if applicable, the operating system of your computer and the name of your access provider.

The data mentioned are processed for the following purposes:

  • ensuring a smooth connection to the website,
  • ensuring convenient use of our website,
  • evaluating system security and stability, and
  • for further administrative purposes.

The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest follows from the purposes for data collection listed above. Under no circumstances do we use the data collected to draw conclusions about your person. The log files are stored only for as long as is necessary for the purposes mentioned and are then deleted. We have concluded a data processing agreement with our hosting provider in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.

4. Contact by e-mail or telephone

If you contact us by e-mail or telephone, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, company, contact details and the content of your enquiry) solely to deal with your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 (b) GDPR insofar as your enquiry relates to the conclusion or performance of a contract, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 (f) GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry.

The data are deleted as soon as your request has been dealt with conclusively and no statutory retention obligations (e.g. under commercial or tax law) apply.

5. Cookies and local storage in your browser

Our website does not use cookies for analytics or advertising purposes. On your first visit, we display a notice in which you can choose whether only the technically necessary functions may be used (“Essential only”) or additionally the Google Maps map on the contact page (“Accept all”, see section 6).

Your decision is stored exclusively in your browser (local storage, entries “abresch-cookie-consent” and, if applicable, “abresch-maps-consent”) so that the notice does not appear again on every visit. These entries are not transmitted to us or to third parties and contain no data that would allow conclusions to be drawn about your person. This storage is strictly necessary in order to provide the service you have expressly requested (Section 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete the entries at any time via your browser settings (“delete site data”); the notice will then appear again on your next visit.

6. Google Maps

On our contact page we embed a map from the Google Maps service to help you find your way to us. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”).

The map is only loaded once you have selected “Accept all” in the cookie notice or clicked “Load map” on the contact page. Until then, a neutral placeholder is displayed in its place and no connection to Google is established. Only when the map is loaded does your browser connect to Google servers; in doing so, your IP address and possibly further data (e.g. browser, device, page accessed) are transmitted to Google, and Google may set cookies or store data in your browser. We have no influence on the further processing by Google.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 (a) GDPR, Section 25 (1) TDDDG). A transfer to the USA cannot be ruled out; Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, so that an adequacy decision of the EU Commission pursuant to Art. 45 GDPR exists.

You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by deleting the site data for www.holz-abresch.de in your browser; the map will then no longer be loaded until you consent again. Further information can be found in the Google Maps terms of service and in Google’s privacy policy.

7. Videos, fonts and other content

The videos on our website are stored on our own web server and played from there. No third-party video platforms (e.g. YouTube or Vimeo) are embedded; playback only generates the server log files described in section 3.

The fonts used (Roboto) and icon fonts (Font Awesome) are also loaded locally from our server. No connection is made to Google Fonts or other font providers. The documents offered for download (e.g. certificates, general terms and conditions) are likewise stored on our server.

8. Disclosure of data

Your personal data will not be transferred to third parties for purposes other than those listed in this policy.

We only pass on your personal data to third parties if:

  • you have given your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 (a) GDPR,
  • the disclosure is necessary under Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 (f) GDPR for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims and there is no reason to assume that you have an overriding interest worthy of protection in your data not being disclosed,
  • there is a legal obligation to disclose the data under Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 (c) GDPR, and
  • this is legally permissible and necessary under Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 (b) GDPR for the processing of contractual relationships with you.

9. Rights of data subjects

You have the right:

  • to demand information about your personal data processed by us in accordance with Art. 15 GDPR. You may, in particular, demand information about the purposes of processing, the categories of personal data, the categories of recipients to whom the personal data have been or will be disclosed, the envisaged period of storage, the existence of the right to rectification or erasure or restriction of processing or to object to such processing, the existence of a right to lodge a complaint, where the personal data are not collected from us, any available information as to their source, the existence of automated decision-making, including profiling, and meaningful information about details;
  • to demand, in accordance with Art. 16 GDPR, rectification of inaccurate personal data or completion of your personal data stored with us without undue delay;
  • to demand, in accordance with Art. 17 GDPR, the erasure of your personal data stored with us, unless processing such data is necessary for exercising the right of freedom of expression and information, for compliance with a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims;
  • to demand, in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR, the restriction of processing of your personal data, as far as you contest the accuracy of the data, the processing is unlawful and you oppose the erasure of the personal data and we no longer need the data but you require them for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims or you lodged objection against the processing in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR;
  • to demand, in accordance with Art. 20 GDPR, to receive the personal data which you provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or to transmit those data to another controller;
  • at any time to withdraw the consent given to us, in accordance with Art. 7 (3) GDPR. The consequence of this is that we are not permitted to continue the data processing based on this consent, and
  • to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in accordance with Art. 77 GDPR. As a rule, you can contact the supervisory authority at your habitual residence or place of work or our company domicile. The supervisory authority responsible for us is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Der Hessische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), Gustav-Stresemann-Ring 1, 65189 Wiesbaden, Germany.

10. Right to object

If your personal data are processed on the basis of legitimate interests under Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 (f) GDPR, you have the right according to Art. 21 GDPR to object to the processing of your personal data on grounds relating to your particular situation or if the objection is directed against direct marketing. In the event of the latter, you have a general right to object, which will be implemented by us without indication of a particular situation.

11. Data security

Our website is delivered exclusively in encrypted form (HTTPS/TLS); requests via an unencrypted address are automatically redirected to the encrypted connection. You can tell whether a page is transmitted in encrypted form by the lock symbol in the address bar of your browser.

We also use appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or unauthorised access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.

12. Topicality and amendment of this privacy policy

This privacy policy is currently valid and was last updated in September 2026.
Due to the further development of our website and the offers on it, or due to changed legal or regulatory requirements, it may become necessary to amend this privacy policy.
